Obituary

James “Alvin” Lowery, III, 55, of Richmond, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 7, 2022. He was predeceased by his father, James, “Jimmy” Lowery, Jr.  He is survived by his mother, Kay Lankey, and her husband Doug, step-sister Ellen Lankey and her husband Steve Simmons, step-brother Justin Lankey and his wife Amber and their children, and his father’s companion of many years, JoAnne Cordle. He had a close bond with his aunt Ann Seay and his cousins Billy, Wayne and Kevin Seay, Abby BeLoat and Stephanie Williams also survive him.

Alvin was a loyal friend to all and will be missed by a family of special friends including David Raynor, Bob “Ruggie” Blankenship, Steve Clodfelter, Davie Huband, Lee and Lori Rose, John Wright and a long list of many others. His neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Marks were also like family.  Kylie Lind held a special place in his heart and he loved her like a granddaughter.

Alvin loved his friends and family, NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys and Alabama football.  He was a hard worker and a devoted son.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Alvin’s memory to Paralyzed Veterans of America, pva.org.

    I was so shocked and heart 💔 broken when I saw this. I watched Alvin grow up to be a fine young man and son. I have NO words but offer heart felt prayers for Kay and his family 🙏 ❤️
