Obituary

James “Bert” Castle Jr., 58, of North Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.  Bert was preceded in death by his Father, James Bert Castle, Sr. and Sister, Bonnie Simonick. He is survived by his beloved Son, James Robert Castle, and wife Heidi; Mother, Dorothy Castle; Sister, Wanda White, and Husband Rob; Two Nieces, Gale Holland and Husband Randy, Samantha Beiro and Husband Riley; Two Nephews, Jerry D. Temple, Jr., Blake Montgomery, and wife Danielle. Bert’s favorite thing to do was spend time with his son. He loved to go with his son to OBX every year, concerts, apple picking at Carter Mountain, UVA football games, camping, and antiquing. Bert shared his passion of Jeeps with his son and enjoyed going surf fishing, taking fishing charters, or finding a good fishing hole at Pocahontas State Park. He loved the beach and his favorite thing to do was watch the sunrises and sunsets over the ocean. Bert coached Youth Soccer at YMCA and Chesterfield United for many years. Bert was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service.
