Jim is a very loving person with a caring heart for the homeless and needy of Richmond. It was our privilege to meet Jim in 2019 when he popped into our lives to participate in homeless ministry at Pleasants Park. When covid forced the shutdown in 2020, Jim always kept tabs on whether the ministry had resumed. In spring 2021 he did not hesitate to join the ministry to Mosby Court. Always smiling, always friendly, always willing to listen, always jumping in where needed without being asked. He just loved being with people and serving as the hands and feet of Jesus. Jim always expressed his confidence and trust in the love of Jesus. I trust that Patsy and family will cling to their faith and find comfort in precious memories of their sweet husband and father. Jim is loved by so many and will be missed until we see him again. Peace, Susan and Mickey Moore

I met Jim many moons ago while working at Dupont. I will never forget the pictures he took at our Kevlar picnic over 30 years ago of my boys of which I so appreciated. Our lives bumped into each other on occasions after I left. I found Jim to be a good person who spoke of his family lovingly and often. He loved golf, home projects, and could be seen hustling around the gym after retirement. I also ran into him when my dad was at Lucy Corr where he was volunteering with his church. He always asked about my family…I now pray his family can find peace in knowing he touched many lives in a positive way.

  4. So Blessed to have known Jim and work with him at DuPont his smile was radiant and he will be forever missed. He was a beacon of light giving his time to minister to others a beautiful legacy. Prayers for the family in this most difficult time. Revelations 21:4.
