Obituary

Worsham, James Jimmy Allen, 71, of Chesterfield, after a brief illness, was called home to live eternally with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, May and William B. Worsham, Sr.; a son, Joseph A. Worsham; and a sister, Joan W. Watson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Velma H. Worsham; daughter, Vonda W. Bredemeier and husband Doug; son, Mark A. Worsham and wife Heather; sister, Virginia W. Johnson; brothers, Floyd M., Lloyd M., and William B. Worsham, Jr.; grandchildren, Stephen, Victoria, Sarah, Ben, Elisabeth Rose, Emily, and David. Mr. Worsham retired from Nabisco. He served in the Army National Guard in Virginia, as well as a deacon at his church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Thursday (today) at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at the funeral home. The service will be ministered by Pastor Frank Jones. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Memorial Baptist Church, 6202 Strathmore Rd., Richmond, VA 23237.
