Obituary

Saday, James Michael, 45, of Chesterfield, lost his battle with lung cancer Thursday, May 14, 2009. Jim was the son of the late James A. Saday, Jr. and Judie M. Saday. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by brothers Christopher P. Saday and Stephen P. Saday of Richmond, and sister Jennifer K. Saday of Anchorage, AK. Jim was the Assistant Facilities Manager for Richard Bland College, a job which he enjoyed immensely. He was instrumental in the construction of the new residence halls at the college, along with other projects, as described in numerous articles in the Times-Dispatch and other newspapers. Jim enjoyed fishing with his brothers, appreciated his family and good friends, and following the Ohio State Buckeyes. A celebration of Jim’s life will be conducted in the Community Room of the Library at Richard Bland College, 11301 Johnson Road, Petersburg, VA at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 18, 2009. It is at Jim’s request that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Children’s Hospital, 2924 Brook Rd., Richmond, VA 23227.

  1. Losing a Dear Friend is very sad, but remember that he is sleeping now, waithing on a resurrection according to God’s Word the Bible; (Acts 24:15). May the memories of him help to comfort you now & in the future. I will be praying in the behalf of your Family. Love,

    My deepest sympathies go out to Judy,Steve,Chris and Jennifer,Jim was a good friend and also like a younger brother.We had many good times working together as well as at the cookouts and dart matches.You will truly missed my friend and i’m sorry i wasn’t there for you.

  3. It was a honor to call Jim my friend. We were room mates for 4 years and I was able to share some great memories with him. Stripper fishing with his brothers.Cookouts at our house with good friends and family. Trips to the beach,races. Some great Ohio State/Michigan’s games.I will truly miss you amigo
