Obituary

Whitlock, James Walker, 77, of Midlothian, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn L. Whitlock; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Tony Stoots; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Sharon Whitlock, Dee and Diane Whitlock, David and Kathy Whitlock; sisters, Joyce Whitlock and Virginia Trull and husband, Ronald; brother, Ray Whitlock and wife, Jackie; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. James was a past member of Bensley Volunteer Fire Department, a charter member of Bensley Volunteer Rescue Squad, and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 11 years. He was a member of Tomahawk Baptist Church and Tomahawk Ruritan Club. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Sunday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday at Tomahawk Baptist Church. Interment to follow in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Tomahawk Baptist Church, Building Fund, 12920 Hull Street Road, Midlothian, VA 23112.
