Obituary

James “Jim” William Scott, 81, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 8, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Faye Scott, and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Scott. A graduate of Virginia Tech, with a master’s in chemistry from MCV, Jim was proud to be a pharmacist at McGuire Veterans Hospital and Buford Road Pharmacy. With a passion for learning, Jim loved teaching children, singing in the church choir, barbershop quartets, and playing golf. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Baptist Church. His funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park. The family asks that donations be considered to Heritage Baptist Church, Building Fund, 7777 Cogbill Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23832 http://www.hbcministry.net.
