Obituary

Janet L. Ewing, 87, born May 6^th, 1938, went home to be with the Lord and her loving husband, on December 21, 2025.

Janet loved fiercely and wholeheartedly, especially when it came to her large family, who were always at the center of her world. A natural jokester, she delighted in making others laugh, and her quick humor and playful antics filled rooms with joy. She had a way of leaving a lasting impression on those she loved, and even now she is remembered fondly for the laughter she sparked so effortlessly. Janet found happiness in simple pleasures—ice cream in any flavor and any form, especially ice cream sundaes piled high and enjoyed with delight, a John Denver song playing in the background, or settling in to watch her beloved western movies and shows. Her warmth, humor, and spirited love continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Janet is survived by her sister, Shirley Muffeletto, brother, John Keefer, daughters; Debbie Scott, Nancy (Rex) Laughter, Joan (Andy) Ewing, Hope (Ronnie) Hodges, Jennifer Ewing, sons; Carville (Robyn) and Mark (Shannon) Ewing, grandchildren; John Scott, Corey Hodges, Kady Livesay, Emily Livesay, Colton Hodges, Jesse Ewing, Gray Ewing, Carly Hodges, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Carville B. Ewing Sr., parents Raymond and Lorraine Keefer, sisters Joan White, Nancy Powers, brothers Raymond Keefer, Charles Keefer and Richard Keefer.

A visitation for Mrs. Janet Ewing will be held on Wednesday, January 7th at 12:00 PM at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd, N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Followed by a Funeral Service, beginning at 1:00 pm with a procession to Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832, to follow.
