Obituary

Janice Faye Shelton, 81, of Sutherland, VA passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1943 in West Virginia to the late Woodrow Wilson Belcher and Rebecca Jane Belcher. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse B. Shelton; sisters, Maxine Branscom, Lucille Mitchum, Brenda Woods, and Connie Brooks.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce Shelton (Patricia) and Brian Shelton; grandchildren, Crystal Jones, Douglas Seymour (Joanna), Carmen Shelton, and Brianna Shelton; great grandchildren, Kierson Kite, Daisy Seymour, and Alana Campbell; brother, Doug Belcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janice retired from many years of service as a receptionist at Deluxe Check Printers. She devoted her majority of her time to her husband and her family. During her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends and shopping. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends for a reception from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
