Obituary

Perkins, Jean Huff, 77, of Richmond and Cumberland, passed away on Feb. 27, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Perkins, and grandson Kenneth Provo. Jean loved her home in Cumberland, Tanglewood, working with antiques and collecting what she called “old junk.” She stayed busy making her famous chocolate-covered cherries and sewing yo-yo quilts for the state fair. There was no task too big for her to tackle, and few could keep up with her. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Wells; sons, Lonnie and Ronnie Provo; grandchildren Tammy, Brandy, Keith, and Kyle; six great-grandchildren; and her dog, Ben. Jean had many devoted friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10), where her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park.
