Obituary

John Chris Slaughter, 41, of Chester, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He is survived by wife Karen Slaughter; mother Teresa Bare; stepfather Buddy Bare; brother Ronnie Slaughter (Jenny); stepson Christopher Green; nieces Jordan and Tatum Slaughter; nephew Parker Slaughter; aunts and uncles. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Edward Slaughter, Sr. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., followed by his service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 West Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831.

    Life is so busy, it feels so unfair. We always think we have more time. We get distracted by meaningless routine crap and end up putting off what really matters until tomorrow.
