Obituary

Tingen, Joseph, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was a loving husband to the late Dolly M. Tingen and he was the beloved husband of Mary M. Tingen; and survived by his son Bobby J. Tingen; daughters Vickie (Steven) T. Jacobs and Helen (Vince) Moran; step-children Becky (Jerry) and Joey; grandsons, Christopher L. Tingen and Hunter D. Jacobs; granddaughters, Dawn (Dennis) T. Hatfield, Jessica (Michael) J. Lynch, and Ashley Elmore; five great-granddaughters; five great-great grandsons; and extended family, church family, and friends. Joseph was a member of the American Legion Post 284.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church, 6030 Woodpecker Road, Chesterfield, VA 23838. Interment to follow and reconvene at 2:00 p.m. at Centralia Cemetery, 10000 Hopkins Road, Chester, VA 23831.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s “Lonnie” name to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park PI Ct, Glenn Allen, VA 23060
