Obituary

Williams, Josephine Bailey, 94, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Williams, and is survived by her daughters, Frances W. and Kenneth Parsons, Helen W. Hagood, Mary W. and Jim Branski; sons, William R. “Bobby” and Ruth Williams, Thomas B. “Tommy” and Sue Williams; sister, Alice B. Owen; former daughter-in-law, Theresa Williams; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. Thanks to Ninette Ivey, Barbara Bowry, and Darlane Smith as faithful friends and caregivers. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Her funeral service will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Roanoke Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Charlotte County. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Bensley-Bermuda Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 3360, Chester, VA 23831 or Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Ave., Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23226.
