Obituary

Joyce F. Bradley, 84, of North Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2025. She was born on April 8, 1941 in Cumberland, North Carolina to the late Lonnie Valley Flowers and Mary Bass Flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd S. Bradley; her son, Floyd S. Bradley, II; her sister, Gloria Runyon; and her great grandchildren, Leah, Rosie, Micah, Nathaniel, Chance,  Ezekiel Christian, and four other wee ones. 

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Glenda Gail Link, Mary Jane Walters (Marty Walters), Stacy Lanette Bradley (Steven Fadely); son, Timothy Wayne Bradley (Kathy Bradley); grandchildren: Tiffany (Freddie), Matthew (Megan), Hannah, Melissa, Rachael (Matthew), Nathan (Molly), Ashley (Gary), Amanda (Chris), Shawn (Shauna), Amber (Roy), Joseph, Tabitha (Josh), Angelica, Joshua (Samantha), Ashton, Morgan (Zach), and Rhiannon (Andrew); and 35 great grandchildren.

Joyce was a woman of extraordinary resilience, grace, and faith. For over 20 years, she faithfully administered her husband’s dialysis treatments while raising five children and running her own beauty salon-balancing it all with strength, determination, and an unshakable spirit. Her home was always filled with warmth and welcome, often extended to foreign exchange students who quickly became part of the family. A devoted member of Southside Nazarene Church, she was deeply involved in the widows’ group, the ladies’ ministry, and sang joyfully in the choir. She loved Jesus with all her heart, studied the Bible faithfully, and prayed daily for her family. Her wit, beauty, and intelligence made her a joy to be around, and her love of music and dancing brought her great joy. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.

Joyce’s celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234.
