Obituary
Joyce Marie Nixon Lee, 99, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noel Joseph Lee Jr. She is survived by her son, Noel Joseph Lee III and his wife, Brenda, and daughter, Marie Lee Chenault and her husband, Joe, 4 grandchildren; Stephanie Wild (Andrew), Kimberly Richardson (Matthew), Stacy Gebhardt (Robert), and Joey Chenault (Molly), and nine great-grandchildren; Audrey, Maddie, Ian, Henry, James, Brent, Myles, Emma, and Luke.
Joyce was a faithful servant of Webber Memorial Baptist Church, where her love for the Lord and her community was evident in all she did. She was an active member of the Rose Lea Garden Club and its travel club, joyfully exploring the United States with friends, with special memories made in New Orleans and New York City. Christmas time in New York City held a special place in her heart and was one of her greatest joys. Joyce was a loving caregiver who generously gave her time volunteering throughout the community, including her children’s schools, local food pantries, and through her church. She had a deep love for flowers and found great happiness singing in the church choir, sharing her voice and spirit with all who knew her.

Marie and family,
Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Your mom was such a sweet lady, and I am so glad I got to know her in her prime! I know that happy memories will help ease the pain of loss and that you know that you have the Lord’s promise that you will see her again!
Until then, may His peace that passes all understanding surround you and comfort you at this time.
Love you,
Donna
