Obituary

Kathy Rose Quesenberry Brewster was reunited in Heaven on January 17, 2021 with her greatest love and husband of 40 years, Ed Brewster. She was also preceded in death by her parents Edison Quesenberry and Shirley Davis and brother Tommy Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Magen Rose Healey; son, Edward Jeremy Brewster; brother, Randy Quesenberry; sister and brother-in-law Dana and Rick Sikon; as well as numerous extended family members and friends who became family to her. She freely gave love and was loved by so many in return.

Kathy was such a unique free spirit. Her vibe radiated so brightly that complete strangers were often compelled to approach her just to talk, laugh, and bask in her light; she welcomed them all.

She was spontaneous, hysterically funny, and charming. If she wasn’t the instigator of mischief, she was easily persuaded to join in on the mischief of others, all in fun and most of it legal–well maybe just because she never got caught. She would say, “don’t threaten me with a good time” and jump right in to enjoy that good time.

She loved to travel and have adventures. Her absolute favorite destination was New Orleans, where she would eat all the delicious food, drink, and dance her way through the French Quarter, enjoying the spirit of the city and seeking out the opportunity to join in every 2nd line that she could.

There are so many things that brought her joy with so many stories to share, remember, and laugh about. Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts, our lives, and this world that nothing could ever fill. We rejoice having had her in our lives, she was a gift; a very precious and priceless gift, and we are ever so grateful for her.

The family will receive friends Friday January 21st, 6:30 to 8 pm at Morrissett Funeral Home, weather permitting. Come, share your stories, laugh with us, cry but mainly laugh. She would want us to let her go with a smile on our faces because we know she is having the best time where she is.

The weather will not be effecting the gathering this evening, Friday, January 21, 2022.

  3. I light this candle to shatter the darkness of this time and bless the times we knew.
Kathy’s love was contagious and her memories are gold! No more pain or suffering, she’s back in Ed’s arms I know dancing on a cloud. Waiting with a smile for each of us when we release our earthly load. Megen, Jeremy and Dana Kathy was more than a friend she was family that I choose. I pray for the Lord to strengthen you during this sad time but her memories live forever. I love her and will miss her.
    “Yo” Austin, Miley and Tommy

  4. My deepest Sympathy to Kathy’s family. She & Ed were extraordinary people. They were a blessing to my family when my sons father passed. (Chris Morgan). I find comfort in knowing that she is with her love now. She will always be remembered as “Honey” to me. You’ve got your wings now honey, so fly high! 💙🦋
