Obituary

Moore, Kevin E., USNR Retired, 51, of Disputanta, VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 26, 2011. He is survived by his bride of seven years, Colleen M. Moore; daughters, Becky Moore Spain of Colonial Heights, VA, Jennifer Moore Lemieux of Jacksonville, FL, Carey Daniels of Colonial Heights, VA, and Hannah Daniels of Disputanta, VA; son, Corey Daniels of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Katelyn Villa and Kamden Spain; sister, Leanne Barrett of Montpelier, VA; brother, Jeffrey Moore of Chesterfield, VA; nieces, Whitney Grant and Bianca Moore; nephew, Jasson Moore. Preceding him in death were his father and mother, Eddie and Corrine Moore; and his sister, Lynne Moore. Kevin was employed for thirty-one years by Temple-Inland Container Company. He retired from the US Navy Reserve in 2005 after 26 years of service. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 pm Monday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). A service is scheduled for 11 am Tuesday in Petersburg at Southside Baptist Church. Interment will be 2 pm at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Southside Baptist Church, 2007 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.

    Bo, you were the greatest brother in the world. I remember when you slept outside my door when I was married to Calvin, so that he would not hit me. That meant so much to me at the time. Thank you for being there for me when I needed it and Thanks for being a wonderful Dad and husband. There are no words to describe how painful your leaving us has been, but we know that you are in a better place and you are not in any pain. God keep you safe and we will see you again one day. We love and miss you already. Bessie Baby.

  3. WAS SADDENED TO HEAR OF BO’S PASSING. MAY GOD KEEP YOU IN HIS ARMS DURING THIS TIME OF GRIEF. WISH WE COULD HAVE COME BUT CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD NOT PERMIT IT. DON’T FORGET WE LOVE YOU AND WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU.

  4. Hi Daddy!! I miss you so much…its been over a year and I still don’t think my mind has fully let me accept your not here! BUT I feel you around me all the time…I think that is why I havn’t allowed myself to accept it!! I wish you were here..your going to be a grandpa again! It’s going to be so hard to bring him into the world without you here to share it with me…but I know you will be watching down on me and guiding me in the right direction!!! I’m also doing extremely well in school!! Daddy you would be so proud…all I think about is wanting to still make you a proud dad while you are in heaven watching over!!! I am going up to Virginia next week and I can’t wait to visit with you!!! I miss you so much…please continue to watch over me and Liam (your soon to be new grandson) He WILL know all about his grandpa as if he had met you in person!! I love you so much daddy!!
