Obituary

Our beloved Kim Vantha Sam, 31, of Richmond, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was born on July 14, 1993 in Richmond, Virginia to Vantha Sam and the late Khom Mom.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kimyra Sam and her mother, Koren Cassell; father, Vantha Sam; sisters, Christie Vantha Sam and Vicheara Sam; brothers, Johnny Sam, Ryko Sam, Chris Sam, Sina Sam, and Mony Sam; aunt, Savouen Pam; devoted cousin, Sarath Pam and his wife, Ashley Pam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kim was a wonderful son, brother, father, friend, who touched the lives of those around him. Kim was a kind and extremely generous person. His laughter will always be remembered and his smile lit up any room that he entered. There will never be another like him. He will be missed by so many!

The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday December 21, 2024 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to a Trust Fund for his daughter.

Matthew 11: 28-30 – Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
May God welcome him into his holy temple with love, a place where tears and pain do not exist anymore. May God give peace to the hearts of Kim’s family.

Kim, my heart has been broken ever since I received the news. I could not ever imagine preparing myself for this type of pain. I vividly remember our last conversation and I remember you saying “You have me, I am always here for you”. I could not get that out my head since then. I will always cherish the Good memories and the time we had together. I remember your favorite quote was “Tough times don’t last forever strong people do”. I love you forever keep continuing to rest and visit me in my dreams. I send the family my deepest condolences.
