Obituary

Kyu Sook Cho was born on April 1, 1945, in Korea.

In 1969 she immigrated to the United States. On June 14, 1969, she married Dr. Kwang-Ho Cho at the First Presbyterian Church in Blackwood, NJ. Together, they were blessed with one son and one daughter.

In 1979, under the guidance of Rev. Joon-Deok Seo, she became a member of the Richmond Korean Presbyterian Church. In 2011, she was ordained as a 권사 at the same church.

While Dr. Cho was stationed at Philip Morris Asia in 1996, she faithfully served the Malaysian Korean Church. From December 1998 to May 2006, she continued her ministry at the Korean Church of Bern, Switzerland. From 2008 to 2025, she also devoted herself to serving the Silver Academy (now known as Moon Hwa Academy)

On January 8, 2025, she was called home by the Lord. She now joins her loving husband, Dr. Cho in heaven.

The service for Mrs. Kyu Sook Cho will be held on Thursday, January 15, at 4:00 pm at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., North Chesterfield, VA 23234, with a reception to follow.
