Obituary

Larry Stephen Sutton, age 74, of North Chesterfield, VA passed from this life on Friday, October 28, 2022, peacefully in the presence of family. Larry was born on November 3, 1947 to the late Ottis and Bertie Jean Sutton of Arkadelphia, AR.

Larry was a man of many talents. He enjoyed tinkering, working on automobiles, reading sci-fi novels, and watching westerns. Larry was a Southern Baptist and Vietnam Navy Veteran. He was a retired employee of Reynolds Metal Company (Alcoa).

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elizabeth (Libby);  his children Darrell Sutton of Chester, VA; Melisah Jordan of Monticello, AR; grandchildren Jacob M. Ytzen; and Erica B. Jordan; and one great-granddaughter Felina; brother George Kenneth Sutton (Sandy) of Gladestone, MO; sisters Joyce Thrasher (Jimmy) of Gurdon, AR, and Phyllis Goff (Glenn) of Sherwood, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Donald Wayne Sutton of Blue Springs, MO.

Larry was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother. His smile and  laughter would light up a room. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service is to be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral Home located at 6500 Iron Bridge Road N. Chesterfield, VA.

    Libby I am so sorry for your loss! I always thought you and Larry were the most perfect couple! I remember when my Mother and Cathy Hasley fixed you two up for a date!! I was thinking that Mother talked to you maybe last year sometime, she was so thrilled to visit with you. I love your family!! Growing up next door to ya’ll was a joy for this only child!!

    I am so sorry for your loss! I loved my big brother very much. Jimmy and I talked about coming to Virginia to see you, but unfortunately our health is just not good enough. I think of you all often. My heart breaks for you. We will all miss him auntie we see him again.
