Obituary

Laure J. Taylor, 80, of Richmond, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2021. Laure was born on June 28, 1940 in West Virginia. She graduated from the nursing program at Harlem Hospital. She then went on to pursue nursing at Mount Sinai Hospital and later, the Veterans Affairs “VA” Hospital in New York. Thereafter, she retired and relocated to Richmond, Virginia. She is survived by her daughters, Audrey M. Watson and Dawn R. Taylor-McIntosh; sisters, Joan Daniels and Betty “Jaki” Ramos; grandsons, Thomas “Terrel” Taylor, Charles E. Watson, III, and Keyshawn McIntosh; her cat, Sunshine; and other loving family members and friends. Laure was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Lee Taylor; parents, James and Rosa Lee Daniels; and sister, Rosalie Daniels. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). Interment will be private. Her final resting place will be with her late husband in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
