Obituary
Linda H. Cosby, 91, of Midlothian, VA passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1934 in Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Estelle Cosby; brother, Branch Cosby, and sisters, Mary Nicewander, Margaret Cosby, and Betty Fountain. She is survived by nephews Allen Minter and Millard Fountain, and nieces Gayle Fronkier, Ann Nicewander, Janet Minter and numerous grand nephews and nieces. Linda obtained her Masters Degree from James Madison University and was an educator with Chesterfield County Public Schools for 35 years, starting her teaching career at Henning Elementary and Thomas Dale before being appointed principal at Enon Elementary, followed by tenures at Fisher Elementary, Hopkins Elementary, Bellwood Elementary and Jacobs Road Elementary before retiring in1993. Linda had a love for animals and enjoyed tennis, golf, and traveling the world. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on January 22, 2026 at The Brandermill Church, 4500 Millridge Parkway, Midlothian, VA 23112. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Brandermill Church.

Linda was a wonderful neighbor in Brandermill. Her kindness and light will long be remembered.

Linda and I used to sit with each other in church. She would tell me about the history of the Brandermill Church as she was a founding member. She made me feel welcome when I first started to attend. She was a very special lady. I miss our conversations. Rest in peace, Linda.
