Obituary

Sprouse, Lois Sobrito (Nannie), 88, of Chesterfield. Our dear Nannie passed from this life into eternal life on Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Nadir John Sobrito; her husband of her twilight years, Forrest Sprouse; a beloved son, John David Sobrito; and her dear friend, Rachel, who were there to meet her at Heaven’s gate. She leaves behind her friend Teenie and many of her devoted church friends; her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bob Boatwright, who will miss her terribly and the many happy memories we shared. Nannie will be missed by many grandchildren, Suzanne Sagester and Jeff, Robin Stewart and Reggie, Michael Collins and Michelle, Karla Thompson and Rob, Fran Orphan and Dana, Sara Fowler and David, Ben Boatwright and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Zach Boykin, Travis Harding and Alex, Elizabeth Spencer and Mitchell, Collin Harding and Kasey, Cheyenne, Olivea, and Isabella Collins; Jacob and Claudia Boatwright, Collin, Benjy, Seth, and Taylor Boatwright, Haley and McKenna Thompson, Brittany and Chelsea Orphan; great-great grandchildren, Kaylee and Faith Harding. Each and every one mentioned had a special place in Nannie’s heart and shared their love with her. She loved her God, family, and her church. She was a faithful member of Branch’s Baptist Church since the age of 5. She was a wonderful and caring friend and mother. The family wishes to thank Lucy Corr and Matoaca Neighborhood for their love and caring. There are too many nurses, CNAs, and staff to name, but you know who you are and, again, bless you all. Sue and Beverly (Debbie), you have a special place. Our mother never cared much for flowers and would be delighted to have, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Branch’s Baptist Church Building Fund, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23234. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Monday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). Her funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday at Branch’s Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the church.
