Obituary

Lynn W. Carson, 86, of Midlothian, VA, went into eternal rest on Sunday, October 31, 2021.  She is survived by her beloved Daughter, Jan Germain; Sister, Susanne Friedel, Brother-In-Law, Dr. Robert O. Friedel; Grandchildren, Shaun Germain, Christopher Germain, Erin Swanner, Dustin Swanner, Brittany Germain; a host of Grand and Great Grand Nieces and Nephews, along with many treasured Friends, and her sweet dog Lexie.  Lynn was preceded in death by her Mother, Susan Weber, Father, Brig. Gen. John Henry Weber and Brother, John H. Weber.  Lynn was proud to have been a First Grade Teacher for 31 years.  During her career she achieved many great accomplishments, including the implementation of the first Head Start program in Asheville, NC.  Upon her retirement Lynn spent over 3,000 hours volunteering at Fairfax Hospital as a Pink Lady.  Lynn’s love of serving others stayed with her when she moved to Midlothian, where she knitted caps for cancer patients, as well as booties, caps, and blankets for NICU newborns.  She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, attending live stage performances, and experiencing new restaurants with family and friends.  Lynn was an avid reader, Scrabble player, and an excellent puzzler of all kinds.  She was a kind and loving woman who touched many people and most of all, she was a beloved mother, “Nannie”, sister and friend.  Lynn (Nannie) will live on in our hearts and memories.  It was her wish to have a private memorial with just her family.

  1. To my cousin Jan and to all my extended cousins and relatives, I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Lynn was such a special person who will be remembered always. Such a kind, caring, giving person. She will always be missed, but now she has entered into the greater life.

    Peace and blessings,

    ~Tia England Miller
