Obituary

Lankie, Margaret Perkins, 89, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth E. Lankie, Sr., and a sister, Virginia Watts. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth E. Lankie, Jr., and Douglas and Kay Lankie; brothers, William Jiggs, Stuart, and Thomas Perkins; grandchildren, Rebecca Blackmon, Ellen Childress, Kerin Mokarem, Justin Lankie, Ashley Lankie, Trey Lankie, and Alvin Lowery; great-grandchildren, Huit Lankie Blackmon, and Leila Mokarem. A special thank you goes out to Margaret’s caregivers, Veronica Williams, Horlles Alford, and Iris Seldon. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday (today) at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte 10). Her funeral service is scheduled for 11 am Thursday at Branch’s Baptist Church. Her interment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Branch’s Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23234 or Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Pkwy., Richmond, VA 23227.
