Obituary
Mark A. Linegar, 69, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Richmond, VA.
He was born on March 5, 1956 in Hampton, Virginia to the late Arville Tillman Linegar and Thelia Hudson Linegar.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Green Linegar; son, Andrew “Andy” Thomas Linegar (Leigh); brothers, Dale Linegar and Paul Linegar (Cathy); sister, Teresa Keaton; nephews, Kyle Linegar, Nathan Linegar, Chris Keaton, Derek Keaton, and Matthew Linegar; and numerous cousins and extended family members.
We remember Mark with full hearts, grateful for a life he filled with love, laughter, and loyalty. He was a wonderful father, a great husband, and a loyal friend – someone who showed his love most in the way he cared for the people around him.
Mark was known for his sharp wit, big heart, and the unmistakable humor he brought into every room. He had a gift for making people laugh and for lightening even the heaviest moments with his quick, clever remarks.
He was happiest surrounded by family, friends, and dog Malibu who never left his side. The beach was his peaceful place, a spot where he could relax, smile, and enjoy the simple moments that meant so much to him. His warmth and the steady way he showed up for those he loved will stay with us forever.
Though we miss him deeply, we carry his love with us in every memory, every story, and every quiet moment by the water. Though he is gone, the laughter he sparked and the memories he created stay with us always.

I am so saddened by this news. I have great memories of our times at the beach. The guys throwing horseshoes while the kids played in the sand and water. Condolences to Pam, Andy and the family. Sending prayers and hugs.

Mark, you were the heart of the neighborhood. You lived life to the fullest. We could count on you to help us if we needed it. You kept the kids in line and were always outside “patrolling the neighbor”.
We are grateful for the time we had with you. All your pain is gone and I am grateful your suffering is no more. Sending lots of love to Pam and Andy during this time.

I just want to say Mark Linegar was more than the President of my football Association he was my second Dad. My favorite childhood memories all involve him. From the Trampoline, to the zip line, and my absolutely favorite thing was his cooking. He would have the team over and instead of being with the kids i would hang out with him and Mr Tyrone talking about the problems in the association, and I learned so much. I never forget when i had my first child i brought him to see Mark. I never told anyone, Pam use to see me, but i would just pop in on him ever so often just to show him how much he meant to me in my life and i will forever be grateful. Sleep well brother There will always be a special place in my heart for you i can only hope you knew how much you mean to me!
