Obituary
Carpenter, Martha, 98, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, John Williamson and Jacque Poat, husband, Uriah Carpenter, two brothers, one sister, and a great-grandson. She is survived by her son, Jerry Carpenter (Gina); daughters, Virginia Dewoolfson (Bruce), Elizabeth Benoit (Ron), and Jacqueline Mills (Wayne); 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Martha was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family and loved by all who knew her. Visitation will take place Friday, February 2, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. with a chapel service on Saturday, February 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bible Broadcasting Network, Immanuel Baptist Church, or the Child Evangelism Fellowship.
