Obituary

Martha Jo Stine Campbell, 65, of Colonial Heights, died at home on April 20, 2023, with her family at her side. Born Sept. 9, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. Stine and Bessie R. Stine. Mrs. Campbell taught at Lakeview Elementary School before retiring from a career that spanned 35 years. She was a member of Amherst Chapter #115, Order of the Eastern Star and Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, VA. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Paul E. Campbell; two sons, Scott Campbell and wife, Misia, of Henrico, VA, and Brian Campbell of Rockwall, TX; a daughter, Diana L. Brandon and husband, Thomas of Tallahassee, FL, one brother, Donald W. Stine and wife, Sherry, of Amherst, VA; one sister, Shirley K. Hunt and husband, Roy E. Jr., of Amherst, VA; and three grandchildren, Anya & Kellan Campbell, & Sawyer Brandon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, April. 22, 2023 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Mr. Kelly Benton presiding. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 to 11:00.

Funeral arrangements have been coordinated by Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, Richmond, VA.

  1. Dearest Paul, Scott, Brian and Diana,
    We send love and prayers at this sad time. Martha was a dear person who was loved by her family, friends, students and church family. She was kind, generous and a source of strength to many. I never heard her complain. Her smile would light up a room. I loved her and she will forever be in my heart. She is looking down on you, your spouses and her beloved grands, Anya, Kellan, and Sawyer.
