Obituary

Mary C. Kitchen, 97, of N. Chesterfield went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, John Willis Kitchen, Jr.; her beloved daughter, Sandy Winder; and son-in-law, Kenny Winder. She is survived by her sons, John Wayne Kitchen (Kathy) and Kevin Dale Kitchen (Shirley); 5 grandchildren: Michelle Mannon, Nathan Winder (Dot), Kory Kitchen (Sarah), Kady Williams, and Lindsey Ward (Grayson); and 9 great-grandchildren: Karly Kitchen, Kylie Williams, Jaxon Mannon, Kayla Kitchen, Cohen Ward, Karter Williams, Brighton Ward, Kane Williams, and Karsyn Williams; and a special nephew she considered a brother, Jimmy McFadden. The family would like to say thank you to two special neighbors and caregivers Betty Harris and William Carter.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. Her interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newby’s Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
