Obituary

Mary Phyllis Hendrick, our sweet and loving mom, sister, grandma, and great-grandma, went home to the Lord on September 8, 2023. She was born December 9, 1929 to Clarence E. Collins and Lillian Collins. She was employed with Phillip Morris for over 20 years. She retired in the late 1980s. She was a godly woman, so kind to all she met, and cherished every moment with family. Mary adored her grand and great-grandchildren. She lived her life for the Lord and others and dedicated herself to the church. She also loved to cook.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; a baby girl she lost at birth; and 14 siblings.

She is survived by her 3 devoted sons, Raymond Hendrick, Jr. (Marilyn), Roy Hendrick (Joetta), and Ronnie Hendrick (Sherrill); her grandkids and great-grandkids, and her nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, N. Chesterfield. A funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:00 am on Sept 13, 2023, at Buford Road Baptist Church, 819 Buford Road, N. Chesterfield. Interment will be private.

  2. She was such a sweet lady for sure, and loved by many.

  3. To the Hendrick Family:
    Phyllis was one of my favorite Collins girls. As a young girl I loved her smile and loved listening to her stories.
    We would sit around the Martins table while the guys would work on the race cars and listen to her witty stories.
    She was one of a kind.
    If I didn’t live 10 hours away I would be there.
    May God heal your hearts.
