  1. Dear Northington Family, I worked with Mel for several years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. He was kind and genuine, and I enjoyed getting to know him. 2. Mel was such a kind man; we worked together at the Federal Reserve Bank for several years. He took me under his wing when I moved to a new role, and he was very patient and kind even with all my crazy questions. He loved his kids and was always full of stories and he loved his new grandbaby. He will be missed, sending prayers to his family and friends. May God give you strength and peace during this time.

Mel and I shared countless moments of laughter and smiles during our time with Capital One. Mel always talked about his family and what was going on in their lives, I always felt the love and pride he shared. We laughed so much at some of the silliness we observed in our world, he’d always say “You just can’t make this stuff up!”. I am forever grateful our paths joined those many years ago. My sincere prayers and love to the Northington family. Mel was truly one of a kind –

  4. I’m sorry to hear of Mel’s passing. He was polite and always smiled when we crossed paths. May God comfort you all as only he can. May his memory be eternal.
