Obituary
Michael Wayne Toney, 57, of Chesterfield went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late George and Della Toney. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Toney; his daughter, Brittany Williams and husband, DJ; grandson, Tyler Williams; granddaughter, Charlotte Williams; stepsons, Stevie Davis and wife, Kimberly, Ricky Davis and wife, Diana; stepdaughter, Stephanie Davis; step grandchildren, Krysten, Jayden, Jasmyn, Kamryn, Emma, Carla, Tony, Trey, Lance, McKenzie and Presley. Mike’s life passion beginning at the young age of 9 was music. He won many awards as a guitarist and vocalist for numerous years. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Morrissett Life Celebration Home. The family requests all those in attendance wear a mask or will not be permitted entry. Mike’s funeral ceremony will be on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Morrissett. Final rest will follow at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to www.txbiomed.org in Michael’s memory.

I am so sorry to learn of Mike’s passing. I remember meeting him years ago and he sang “Keeper of the Stars” to you. The way the two of you looked at each other as he sang that song was just magical. My heart is breaking for you and your pain. Please know you are in my heart and prayers.
