Obituary

Davis, Milton Howard, 87, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 1, 2011. Mr. Davis was a retired systems analyst at Defense General Supply Center. He was a WWII veteran, serving his country in the European theater with the Army Air Corps. After retirement, he volunteered at both Chippenham and MCV hospitals. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Ola Davis; daughter, Janet Surface (Jamie); stepchildren, Gay Lambert Perkins (Drew), Buddy Boatwright, Kathy Walton (Andrew); 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Florence Clare of Tulsa, OK; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Davis had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 7, 2011, at Heritage Oaks Retirement Home, 1100 German School Road, Richmond, VA 23225. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Immanuel Baptist Missionary Fund, 3601 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23230.
