Obituary
Nancy J. Fitzhugh, widow of Thomas C. Fitzhugh, 93, formerly of Chester, VA, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 11, 2023. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Carson W. Johnson, Sr., and Clara B. Thompson; stepfather, Oliver C. Thompson; and her brother, Carson W. “C.W.” Johnson. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Manter; brother, James “Jimmy” Thompson and his wife Debra; her nieces, Carolyn Johnson, Diane J. Swartz, and LeeAnn Gerst; nephew, Robert “Robbie” Thompson; and great nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 10:00 am at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newby’s Bridge Road. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer Association, 201 Temple Avenue, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
