Obituary
Nancy Spain Hudson, 80, of Richmond, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 20, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1945 in Chesterfield, Virginia to the late Paul E. Spain and Susie Bernice Spain.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Charles Albert Hudson; son, Chad A. Hudson (Karen); daughter, Kara H. Parker (Craig); six grandchildren: Jesse Hudson (Emma), Colin Hudson, Zeke Hudson, Wesley Parker, Casey Parker, and Irene Parker; sister, Shirley S. Trivette; brothers, James A. Spain (Bonnie) and David W. Spain (Linda); and extended family members.
She retired from Genworth Financial as a Corporate Instructor. Nancy was a deacon at Mount Vernon Baptist Church and with Charles lead the Primetimer’s Travel Ministry. Nancy was President of the Beulah PTA, the Meadowbrook PTSA, President of the County Council of PTAs, and served on the State PTA board as well as on the Chesterfield County Committee on the Future. She was a graduate of Longwood College where she was President of House Council and was a member of Chi χ. She shared her love of travel, leading her family on many adventures and the Primetimer’s at MVBC.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen, VA 23059. Her celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the church. Interment will be private.

I am so sorry to hear of Nacnys passing. Many childhood memories growing up together as cousins. Playing games laughing so much fun. My heart is heavy. Condolences to Charles and her family.
