Obituary

Nancy West, 77, of Chesterfield, Va. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2020. She is preceded in death by her father, Douglas Owen Dodson and mother, Beatrice Ellen Dodson. She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen “Mike” West; children, Sandra Dickerson and Mike Bruffey; grandson, Christopher Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Skyler Dickerson and Gracie Lee Dickerson; daughter in law, Jennifer Dickerson; and special friend, Vickie Hutson. The family will receive friends Friday 3 pm- 4pm at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N. Chesterfield, Va. Her memorial service will follow at 4 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Susan G. Koman Foundation, https://ww5.komen.org/Donate/Donate.html.

  3. Bren and I would like to offer our sincerest condolences to all of her family .. I’ll always remember Nancy as a true spitfire with an enormous zest for living.. she said what she felt and was 100% genuine … that’s what I loved about her the most…rest easy sweet lady… Mike.. we love you.. you were a wonderful husband and that Queen was lucky to have you by her side… we send you the biggest of hugs…god bless always.

  4. Nancy, we love you! I am so sorry that you were put through so many tough times during your time here. However; I know that God only gives us each what he knows we can handle. And while it seems that he gave you so much to deal with, He knows how strong you are and that you were a true fighter with a huge heart! I am so glad you are free from the pain and suffering and I pray that your family can hold onto all the wonderful memories of your beautiful soul. Rest In Peace dear friend!
    Mike, you were one of the most devoted and loving husband’s I have known. There is no doubt that Nancy knew how much she was loved! I wish I had the words to ease your pain but i know that only time will help to ease it. But I hope you know how much we love you and am here if you need anything! I am so sorry that we were unable to attend the service today but please know that we truly love you and Nancy and wish you all the best in the coming days! Love you.
