Obituary
Niles Ewell Hopper, Jr., 88, of North Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2025. He was born on January 13, 1937 in Johnston City, Tennessee to the late Mary “Molly” Elizabeth and Niles Ewell Hopper, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sammie Wade Hopper; granddaughter, Autumn Sanford; brother, Jack Hopper; and sisters, Carolyn Lowe, Billy Wash, Phyllis Mayhew, and Rita Poore.
He is survived by his son, Niles “Chucky” E. Hopper, III (Kristen); daughter, Bambi Jean Holt (Eric); grandchildren, Kelly Hanson, Brock Hopper, Aiden Poole, and Garin Poole; great grandchildren, Genesis Hopper and Raigen Hanson; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Niles retired from Philip Morris after 34 years of service as a fixer. Niles also honorably serviced his country as a United States Army Solider during the Korean Conflict. During his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and visiting friends and family. Niles will be truly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment will military honors is to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, VA 23002.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners hospital for children.
