Obituary

Olga Kathryn Hawkins affectionately known as Prissy or Aunt Boo of Colonial Heights, VA peacefully joined her loving husband on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.  Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Larry James Hawkins; her father, Arthur Fleming Gremillion; and her mother, Olga Kathryn Gremillion; and brothers, Arthur “Reb” and Ross “Rocky” Gremillion.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly Pond; her granddaughter, Kathryn Pond (Jaden) and soon to be great granddaughter; daughter, Amanda Kellam (Jeremy); granddaughter, Peyton; grandson Chase; grandson, Brody Hawkins; sister, Maude Lenberger (Bill); nephew, Billy (Angie); great nephew, Josh; niece, Lisa Ann; great nieces, Shelby “Peep #1” and Riley “Peep #2”; great nephew, Nate “Peep #3”; sister-in-law, Carolyn, niece, Patricia (Robert); great nephew, Kaden; niece, Lynne’ (Robert); great nephew, Robert John; and nephew, Michael; two special “daughters”, Patty Gates and Sharon Boyd; her beloved puppies, Cupcake and Peanut.

Prissy loved the New York Yankees, movies, Sylvester Stallone, music, and the color green. She was full of life, a bit of a Hippie who loved large, and loved by all who knew her. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Colonial Heights Food Pantry in her honor. This was such a special place in her heart.

Services will be private at a later date.

    To our dearest Aunt Olga- I will miss you terribly… I will miss your beautiful smile, always smiling, and your beautiful hair! You always looked like a movie star. Thank you for loving me as a son, as one of your own. I’ll always remember you! Pleas say hi to Uncle Larry for me. Rest easy, I love you! Holly, my dearest cousin, I’m here for you.   4. Holly and family I am sending heartfelt condolences and love to you and yours. I worked with Olga many moons ago and it was a sweet joy to have known her. A big burst of positive energy and a “hoot”! Her light shined brightly each day, she loved her family and friends wholeheartedly. Her infectious laughter and fast talking ways just drew you near! May you find peace knowing she is resting peacefully with our Savior!
