Obituary
April 17, 1960 – October 31, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela Charlene Munden, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and friend to many. Born on April 17, 1960, in Halifax, Virginia to Aubrey Thomas and Nannie Livian Austin. Pam spent her life cultivating joy and kindness in all who knew her. She resided in Chesterfield, Virginia, where she was the co-owner of Colonial Door & Glass.
Pam was a woman of deep faith, finding joy and fulfillment as a member of the Praise Team at her church, where her beautiful voice resonated with love and devotion. She also dedicated her time to teaching Sunday school, nurturing the spirits of young learners. Her love for life was reflected in her many interests, including spending peaceful afternoons tending to her beloved flower garden, and the thrill of shopping outings at outlet malls. Pam cherished the trips she took with her girlfriends, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Pam leaves behind her devoted husband, Donald Munden, and her children, Amanda Nicole Munden, Andrew James Munden, Austin Keith Munden (Nicki), and Avery Leigh Harrell (Kevin), along with her beloved grandchildren Braylon, Matthew, Beckham, and Arbor. She is also survived by her brother, Tony Austin (Lori), and stepbrother, Bill Langford (Virginia), who will carry her memory in their hearts. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Thomas Austin and Nannie Livian Langford.
In honoring Pamela’s life, a memorial service will be held to celebrate the love and light she brought into the world at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025 with a gathering prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, 6030 Woodpecker Road, Chesterfield, VA 23238.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Good Samaritan Ministries to honor Pamela’s generous spirit. Donations can be made at (https://gsamministries.com/).
Pamela Charlene Munden will forever be remembered for her warm heart, infectious laughter, and her compassion for others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and beautiful memories that will continue to inspire all who loved her.
