Obituary

Pamela Stalnaker, 68, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Pam was a graduate of Rockbridge County High School and went on to earn her degree in Fine Arts from Bridgewater College, where she cultivated the creativity and passion for art that would remain a meaningful part of her life.

A proud and loving wife and Memaw, Pam cherished the time she spent with the people she loved most. She had a gift for making others feel special and cared for, always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and important moments with thoughtful gestures that showed just how deeply she loved.

Pam was a talented artist with a true passion for painting. Her creativity was reflected in every piece she created, bringing beauty, emotion, and a piece of herself into her artwork. Whether she was holding a paintbrush, baking her famous desserts, or gathering with family, Pam poured her heart and love into everything she did. Her kindness, generosity, and beautiful spirit touched the lives of all who knew her and will be treasured forever.

Pam is survived by her beloved husband, Marvin Stalnaker; step-daughters, Holly (David Jr.) Asal and Erica (Paul) Tillman; sisters Diana and Marilyn Dixon; brother Bruce Dixon, Jr.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann and Bruce Dixon, Sr.

Services for Pam will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pamela’s name to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) Foundation.
