Cleopatra “Patsy” Pappas Fulton, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, in Chesterfield, VA at the age of 90. She was born on June 23, 1933, in Jenkins, KY, to George Pappas and Edith Marie Justice Pappas.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith, her sisters Betty Joan Price, Christine Collins, and Linda Skeen Santolla, her son William Todd Fulton, and her granddaughter Elizabeth Frazier Hovenac.
She is survived by her sister Shirley Crowder, her children Patricia Fulton Meacham (Lanie), Keira Fulton-Lees, and Eric Norman Fulton, her grandchildren Tiffany Fulton, Bradley Fulton, and Tyler Meacham, her great-grandchildren Grayson and Skylar Garmon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patsy dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She was a cherished member of her community, deeply involved in St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. Known affectionately as Granny Pat to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she found joy in being a grandparent and had a special bond with her close group of lifelong friends. Patsy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Though small in stature, she possessed a strength of heart that touched the lives of all who knew her. To know Patsy was to love her and be loved by her.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Patsy’s life at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Midlothian on Monday, February 19th, at 1 PM, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to CARE Cats, Richmond SPCA, or an animal rescue organization of your choice.
Patsy’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and inspired.
