Obituary

Paul “PJ” Helms, Jr., 75, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Cena “Marie” Helms; children, Kimberlee Henry, Martin Henry, Jr., Paula Helms-Manchas and Rodney Helms and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Amanda, Lauren, Stephanie, Patrick, Tyler and Heather; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kenley, Kyrin, Cicily, Kyrsten and Peyton; siblings, Emily, Fredrick “Butch”, Michael and Cricket Dillard (Bruce)

and his loving fur baby, Lizzy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul, Sr. and Sarah Helms; grandson, Matthew and great-grandson, Jackson. PJ worked for Dupont where he retired after 31 faithful years of service. He was an avid Bass fisherman and loved spending time outdoors, hunting and caring for his hunting dogs. PJ was a member of the Jennings Ordinary Hunt Club. He was a strong man with a strong faith that he held dear and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. PJ will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church with his funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest privately in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made through his personal memorial page at inmemof.org/paul-helms.

  2. Rodney this is Jerome, I found out recently that your father had passed. I truly respected your father, because he was a good man. He will be missed, but he will forever be alive in your hart.
