Obituary

Paulette Smith Moore, 70, of N. Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2017. She was born on April 11, 1946 to Selby and Mabel (Deese) Smith in Pembroke, NC. Paulette is survived by her loving spouse of 52 years, Albert Moore; two daughters, Natasha Nash (Michael) and Gloria Paumier (Patrick); granddaughter, Adelaide Paumier; two sisters, Judy Collie and Iris Shinskie; brother, Charlie Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Selby Smith; sisters, Madelyn Bolton and Erma Hall; brothers, Tom Smith, Edgar Smith, and Jerry Smith. She was a long-time employee at ICI and retired from the Virginia State Police. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was a giver at heart. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., North Chesterfield, Virginia 23234. A celebration of her life will follow after the visitation. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.   3. I worked with Paulette at ICI for many years. She was one of the most generous people I have ever known and came to the aide of many people in need whether it was for food, clothing, or financial purposes. She will be missed by all who loved her. To Paulette’s family, “I’m so sorry for your loss. May God give you peace and comfort in the months to come.

  4. Wish I had known in time to attend the service. Paulette was our neighbor for many years, when I was just a girl. She was so sweet. God has another Angel. Sincere condolences to Al & family.
