Obituary

Donlavey, Phyllis W., 85 of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2010. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Wesley C. (Junie) Donlavey; daughters, Linda Perkins and her husband Bill and Beverly Swata; son, C. Richard Donlavey and his wife Sandy; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Phyllis was a devoted member of the NASCAR Women’s Auxiliary. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Route 10). A graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday, October 25, 2010 at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317.

    I have been a fan of yours since 1983 when I became a NASCAR fan, and I am very sad to hear of your loss. I thank God that He gave you 68 years together, and I pray that He will give each of you the peace and strength that can only come from Him.
