Obituary

Phyllis Trammell Hancock, age 94, of Chesterfield, VA, widow of Percy Eugene “Gene” Hancock, died November 10, 2025. She was born in the Manchester area of the City of Richmond, VA, to Carroll Jackson and Pearl Louise Jordan Trammell. She enjoyed family research; was a graduate of John Marshall High School, and a retiree of Verizon Virginia.

She is survived by her brother, Douglas W. Trammell; his son, Wayne Trammell; Wayne’s wife, Olivia, and children, Andrew and Lauren; his daughter, Sharon T. Toth, her husband, Larry; son, Michael Spence; Michael’s wife, Sarah, and children, Brayden, Caylee, and Blake; brother, William “Bill” L. Trammell, his wife, Sandra; son, David Trammell, daughter, Andrea T. Hanvey, her husband, Randy; sons, Mason, Mason’s wife; Imelda, son, Xavier; and Bryce, Bryce’s wife; Lindsey, Kimberly Willis Overbey and her husband, Howard.

A visitation will be held on November 13, 2025, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Services, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd, N. Chesterfield, VA, 23234, beginning at 2 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 3 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
