Obituary

Bragg, Radies M. Mack, 75, of Amelia, formerly of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2010. Born September 3, 1935 in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Birchie and Lottie Small Bragg. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey O. and Joseph Bragg, and three sisters, Rosetta Braden, Loretta Carner, and Mary Shiflett. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia; a loving daughter, Theresa Gail George and her husband, Larry; two grandsons, Jason M. Shephard and his wife, Vanessa, Sgt. Justin P. Shephard and his two sons, Dylan and Connor Shephard; sisters, Esther E. Roach and her husband, Prentice, Hazel A. Campbell and her husband, Edward; brother, Frank L. Bragg; and several nieces and nephews. He was retired from Maxxim Medical (Richmond), was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Rhodes United Methodist Church, Afton, VA, and a member of Blackstone Moose Lodge, Blackstone, VA. He had many friends and was always willing to help others, especially his neighbors in Amelia. The family wishes to thank Steve and Phyllis Lynch of Amelia for their loving and devoted care. Also, the family expresses sincere gratitude to the medical professionals at Hospice of Virginia, Farmville, VA. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Virginia, 202 Clark Street, Farmville, VA 23901.
