Obituary

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Randall Graydon Davidson, who departed this life on September 7, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on March 17, 1955,

Randall lived a life filled with music, friendship, and service. A gifted guitarist and lifelong musician, his music carried not only melody but also the soul of a man who believed deeply in connection, healing, and joy. Whether playing on stage, at community gatherings, or simply among friends and family, Randall’s music became a lasting gift to all who knew him.

A proud Vietnam veteran, Randall served his country with courage and dignity. That same sense of duty followed him throughout his life as he dedicated countless hours to community service. He was the kind of man who quietly and steadfastly gave of himself, always ready with a helping hand, a listening ear, or a song to lift weary spirits.

Randall’s circle of friends was wide, a testament to the kindness, humor, and loyalty he carried into every relationship. His presence could light up a room, his laughter was contagious, and his wisdom was always freely shared. Those fortunate enough to know him will forever remember the compassion in his heart and the strength in his character.

Though Randall’s guitar may now rest, the music he brought into the world continues in the lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the community he loved so dearly.

He is survived by loving family, countless friends, and a community forever enriched by his life.

Randall’s funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.

A Celebration of Life Benefit Concert and Open Mic̶

Rockin’ Randall’s Open Mic will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, beginning at 12:00 noon at the Harbor Blast Stage1604 Fine Street, 1604 Fine Street, Prince George, Virginia. Friends, family, and fellow musicians are warmly invited to share memories, music, and love in Randall’s honor.

Rest well, Randall. Your melody plays on in all of us. No more words…only steps…no need to explain just the rhythm of steps between us…
