Obituary

Harrison, Raymond Buddy, 80, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 12, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Barbara Harrison; son, Bobby Ray Harrison; step-sons, Mark and Mike Davis; step-daughter, Sharon Fisher; brothers, Hallet, William, Bobby, and James Harrison; sister, Shirley Beck; grandchildren, Dustin, Kyle, Chelsea, Samantha, and Tabitha. Buddy served in the U.S. Army and retired from Sears Roebuck Co. after twenty-plus years as receiving manager at Cloverleaf Mall. His passions were fishing and coaching little league baseball. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Friday (today) at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.

  1. To the Harrison family: I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one. All of us have lost someone to the enemy death (1 Corinthians 15:26) but according to that Scripture death will be destroyed. Jesus will work this out under His Kingdom rule. Will all are sadden when death strikes our loved ones, but remember that they are sleeping in death, waiting on the resurrection (John 5:28 & 29). I will keep your family in my thoughts & prayers.
