Aunt Arlene, Bobby, Wanda, Tim and families it has always been a privilege to have shared a small portion of Uncle Ray’s life. I would not be the man I am today, to have endured my life’s ups and downs, without his inspiration, caring and prayers. He was my connection to my father, I that I never knew. May we all live our lives, the way he taught us and expected us to live. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the privilege of spending a day with Raymond at the Richmond VA Hospital as we sat next to each other from 2:00 to 11:00 PM waiting to be seen on day about three years ago.
It was a great pleasure to spend that time with one of America’s greatest treasures and listen to his stories about D-Day and becoming a missionary. I shared the joy of spending the day with Raymond with my wife and children who were also very excited to hear that I was in the presence of one of the greatest generation’s most humble and giving Soldiers. I wish your family every blessing from God and wanted to share my joy of meeting Raymond.
