Obituary
Rev. Malcolm M. Hutton, Sr., 92, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ann, his two devoted children, Debbie Nunn and Malcolm Hutton, Jr. (Karen), and his seven grandchildren, Adam (Sirena), Zach, Elizabeth, Nathaniel (Cailin Carroll, fiancé), Olivia, Jeremiah, and Isabella. Malcolm was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and pastor. For over 70 years, he faithfully pastored, preached, and impacted countless lives at numerous churches in North Carolina and Virginia, with Dinwiddie Baptist Church being the most recent church where he continued to serve until the summer of 2021. Malcolm never really retired from ministry as he was often redeployed by the Lord to serve in new ministry assignments. The family will receive friends and guests on Monday, February 7th at 11 a.m. at Parkway Baptist Church, 8508 Beaver Bridge Rd., Moseley, VA 23120, with a celebration of life to follow at 1 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkway Church North Chesterfield, where Malcolm and Ann were members.

Prayers for Ann and the family. Mr. Hutton was pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church when Debbie and I started there. I have so many fond memories of you all. He really helped with the singles group, which really helped me.

Our condolences to the Hutton Family. We had the pleasure of getting to know Mr. Hutton at our restaurant. I always enjoyed my conversations with him and Mrs. Hutton. Although he will be dearly missed, I know there are great songs and hymns sung in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Mac was a true friend, mentor, and brother in Christ to me. He always had a Christlike love towards others, saved or unsaved. Mac lived his faith everyday. Ann, Debbie and Mac Jr. your husband and father will be greatly missed. He is strolling the streets of heaven laughing and smiling with Jesus who greeted him “Well done my good and faithful servant”

To the Hutton family,
We were saddened to hear of Pastor Hutton’s passing. Words could never convey the impact that he made on our lives. We will forever remember his preaching, his smile and his kind and humble spirit. Pastor Hutton and Oak Grove will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Our spiritual journey began under his preaching as he led us to Christ, and shortly after our married journey began under his ministry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, may God grant you grace and peace.
